Lost

On my final day of the trip our barefooted small crew made it out to Teahupoʻo, I felt the power of this wave, even on a small day it is one of the most powerful raw waves had the privilege of experiencing. You felt it come to life as soon as you jumped off the boat. A moment of silence as you realize you are completely alone out there with nothing but a camera. What happens next is completely up to you. I was “Lost” in thought out there, thinking about everything that could go wrong. It wasn’t until I felt the first wave go over my head that I realized how much could go right.

The rest of this session was spent admiring this wave and paying my respect to the islands for being such an amazing teacher over the past month of traveling.
